An F1 Car Drifting On A Ski Slope Is Mad And Magnificent

This is the stuff a petrolhead’s dreams are made of. Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen – genius and madman – took his Formula One car for a spin on the ski slopes of Kitzbühel, Austria.

In preparation for the stunt, Red Bull’s team outfitted the car with studded tires and snow chains, and added a bump in ride height. Other than that, the F1 snowmobile sported no modifications. Verstappen tackled the famed Streif slope with little more than a talented right foot and the confidence of a psychopath.

If you thought it took skill to get a car around a dry track, wait ’til you see this. The 18-year-old driver goes full beast-mode on the mountain, drifting and ripping donuts with more style than most men can on solid ground. If you’ve ever wondered what F1 drivers do in the offseason, here’s your answer.
