You’ve escaped the concrete jungle for lush beachside paradise, only to be shacked up in a dodgy motel with questionable cleanliness, a loud ceiling fan and even louder next door neighbours. Don’t let this be you. Why not totally immerse yourself in the surroundings and be at one with nature in a luxury treehouse?
Airbnb has been getting creative with its listings lately, from affordable accommodation on private islands to epic castles and now incredible tree-top holiday stays.
It all stems from Airbnb’s ‘Love this? Live there‘ push, encouraging a new type of cultural travel where people can book holidays based on their passions, as much as destinations. In fact, research from Tourism Competitive Intelligence shows that in 2014, 45 million international tourists chose a travel destination they saw in a TV show or a movie. This prompted Airbnb to match iconic one-of-a-kind content with iconic one-of-a-kind listings.
