Forget jumping into your prized steed and driving into the sunset. We’ve got you you sorted with this week’s hottest rides. The wildcat known as the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR will be unleashed at Geneva, an Aston Martin Vulcan track is under way in Abu Dhabi, McLaren serve up one final carbon P1 for McLaren Special Operations and a trio of Lamborghinis throw a barbeque. Car news you need to see and hear.

#1 Jaguar F-Type SVR

The hotly anticipated Jaguar F-Type SVR will be making its way to Geneva in a few weeks time and pundits are already salivating. This is mainly because the pricing has been revealed to be well under that of their Porsche rivals. The new wildcat on the block will feature an F-Type tweaked by the boffins at Jaguar-Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations outfit. What this means is that the car will receive JLR’s latest 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that has been boosted to punch out 575 horsepower (25hp more than the F-Type R). Torque is up from the standard 680Nm to 700Nm. It will demolish the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.5s, down form 3.9s. Top speed? 320km/h. Nice kitty.

#2 Aston Martin To Build Dedicated Vulcan Track

As if the Vulcan program wasn’t expensive enough at US$2.33M a pop, the British luxury car maker will soon be building a dedicated training circuit in Abu Dhabi (no surprises there) to ensure the cars’ owners know how to extract the most out of their 820hp beasts. The dedicated track days follow the same approach as Ferrari and McLaren have with their respective hypercars. Sure beats learning to drive around your local car park.

#3 McLaren Special Operations P1 In Naked Carbon

McLaren and naked are two of our favourite words. The P1 has come to the end of its production life cycle but for a one-off display at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, McLaren Special Operations will be dishing up something unique. One of them is a bare carbon P1 devoid of paint and instead covered in Lio Blue lacquer. What this means is a P1 finished in transparent blue with carbon weave undersurface. And if that wasn’t enough to make your jaw drop, in a nod back to the McLaren F1, the exhaust heatshield has been wrapped in 24K gold. Tell you the price? You can’t handle the price.

#4 Lamborghini Aventador Trio Go Flame Throwing

Lamborghini Aventador owners are known for setting their cars on fire. One of those reasons could be due to the antics in the video below. Somewhere in the Middle East, three Aventadors have gathered in a non-descript location to rev their engines to see who can throw the biggest flame. If you’ve ever wondered what 36 cylinders firing sounds like, you now know.

#5 You Can Now Buy Colin McRae’s Last Subaru Rally Car

Fans of the blistering Scotsman will know that he was no slouch on the rally circuit. Considered one of the fastest men on four wheels, Colin McRae died and untimely death when a helicopter he was travelling in crashed. His legacy however remains intact in one very special Subaru WRC rally car – the last one he ever drove in competition known as the S12B. The vehicle has been completely stripped down and fully restored minus the sponsor logos. It receives a new engine, a new clutch, seats, harnesses, fire extinguishers, brake discs and pads. Even the suspension has been fully rebuilt whilst the wheels have been re-powder-coated in classic STI gold. Feeling lucky? Luck will cost you US$230,000. Place your bid here.
