Man vs. Machine. It’s long been the unchartered battlefront of modern human civilisation and today, Australian F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has taken the fight to an eight-man-strong Rugby scrum.
The stunt is a first for the relentless Red Bull marketing machine in 2016 and pitches the team’s RB8 F1 car against England’s Bath Rugby Club in a scrum-off.
To get technical, the F1 car packs 750hp and mountains of torque against the pushing power of eight burly men. The contest took place at the his Farleigh House, Bath Rugby’s training facility in the picturesque English countryside.

Ricciardo admitted that he was confused by the competition at first.
“I didn’t quite understand what they wanted to do at first, I was like, ‘How do you do that?'”
It’s safe to say he got the idea pretty quickly when he showed up. Watch on as grunts and burning rubber ensue this epic battle of brute strength.
