The red velvet covers have been pulled off the latest edition of the stunning AWD Ferrari FF.
It won’t be called the FF come March though when the car officially debuts at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The moniker given to this fresh stallion? The GTC4 Lusso. A simple rebadge is not the case here as the updated car also receives some seriously advanced goodies.
Besides the extra power (up from 651hp to 680hp) from the big 6.3-litre V12, the car also adds a new dimension to the sports grand tourer segment with rear-wheel steering integrated into its AWD system for the first time in Ferrari history.
The previous model’s comfortable and luxurious four-seat layout remains a favourable mainstay for the GTC4 Lusso whilst on the outside, it’s pure Ferrari DNA injected into the shooting brake coupe concept.
Revised aerodynamics include a new front grilled with integrated air intakes to capture more air at high speed, fender vents to dispel engine heat and a triple-fence diffuser out back to keep the car planted at all times. The overall result of this tweaking gives the GTC4 Lusso a drag coefficient that’s substantially lower than the outgoing FF.
We’ll keep you guys posted on the official Geneva launch when it happens.
