What do you get when you pair a leading British menswear designer with a famed portrait and fashion photographer? A modern, fresh campaign of lust-worthy wardrobe fillers for the season ahead.
Oliver Spencer has joined forced with Rankin for an original and contemporary interpretation of the fashion brand’s SS16 collection.
Oliver Spencer has enlisted 10 friends of the brand for the campaign. Movers and shakers including model and tattoo artist Dan Crowe, Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp, MR PORTER‘s managing director Shay Ola and actor Allen Leech, just to name a few sit on the Bird Chair as part of the photo shoot, an iconic work of art created by Harry Bertoia in 1952, sculpted by welded steel rods.
Never about the clothes, but always about the men wearing them, Oliver Spencer SS16 is all about your personality taking centre stage. “…The project felt very natural and working with Rankin is a complete joy. We started from one, simple concept: a close-knit group of friends with diverse personalities, an iconic chair and Rankin‘s masterful eye. The result exceeded my expectation: my clothes come alive and become a tool for individuals to articulate their identity with,” says Spencer.
Tis’ the season to express yourself.
