If you know anything about Tom Hardy, you’ll know he’s particularly good in roles where he either doesn’t give a fuck or is incredibly evil, hence his latest gig in Ridley Scott‘s new FX series ‘Taboo’ is fitting for the 38-year-old actor.
The eight-episode series, set for release in 2017, follows James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) as he “returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder, and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.”
‘Taboo’ sounds like a binge-worthy nailbiter and what’s more, it was written by Tom Hardy and his father. The badass apple clearly doesn’t fall far from the tree.
