NASA often likes to toy with the public’s perception of space travel by allowing civilians to experience the process of becoming an astronaut. Most recently they took on Brent Rose of WIRED magazine to give him a crash course in spaceman training. It’s important to note that in order to become an astronaut, you first need a four-year science degree. On this particular occasion it was waived and Rose found himself at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Watch on to see the rigorous tests that Rose is subjected to from physical challenges to trying out the food from the International Space Station. If after seeing all of this and you’re still convinced of your future role as a spaceman, then godspeed to you, son. We’ll just stay right here in the comfort of our seats where we can watch the astronaut training.
