There’s no doubt it’s cooling down out there, but before you start digging up all your black, white and grey, take some style cues from French electronic music record label and fashion brand Kitsuné who have a few quirky statements to make this Autumn/Winter.
Paying tribute to the label’s Japanese heritage, the Kitsuné AW16 collection was captured by photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari and was inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film ‘The Wind Rises’ with an aviation style throughout. Comfortable fabrics like cotton, broadcloth, velvet and flannel make their way onto structured jackets, t-shirts, coats in block colours as well as pop prints and camouflage with reference to Mount Fuji and the Rising Sun.
Cropped trousers, in a wide range of new season shades like white, brown, olive and navy, are a highlight of the collection, most often paired with lace-up boots, sweaters and statement jackets. Time to make your new season casual wear colourful.
