Models Balance On The Edge Of NYC Skyscrapers For Death-Defying Photos

Full screen

Japanese photographer Mar Shirasuna went to great lengths – and heights – to capture jaw-dropping photos of models balancing on the edge of New York City’s tallest skyscrapers.

The incredible photo series, titled ‘Beauty and NYC,’ saw Shirasuna scale more than a hundred examples of Manhattan’s soaring architecture. “I wanted a fresh view of New York City,” he told NY Daily News, “so I climbed to the rooftops of 150 different buildings around town to find cityscapes I had never seen before, and found views that I don’t think many New Yorkers have even had the chance to see.”

Shirasuna’s work will go on display during his “NYC from Above” exhibit at Nepenthes New York on March 17. For those who can’t make it, his Instagram offers plenty of spine-tingling shots.
