St. Patrick’s Day is rapidly approaching, and lovers of indiscriminate drinking around the world are preparing to raise a toast in celebration. For revelers in New York City, that toast can take an extra special form this year: a scoop of whiskey ice cream.
OddFellows, purveyors of some of NYC’s finest and most creative frozen treats, are dishing out a whiskey ice cream flight in honour of St. Paddy’s at their Brooklyn location. Ten dollars scores you scoops of three different alcoholic ice creams.
The first is simply flavoured with a spicy Knappogue Castle 12-year single malt Irish whiskey. The second takes inspiration from the beloved Irish coffee served at The Dead Rabbit – Clontarf Irish whiskey, demerara syrup, hot coffee, heavy cream, and a topping of Kahlúa-infused Rice Krispies. The third is a Little Boo Boo Bakery burnt marshmallow confection that blends pepper, cocoa, and hazelnut with Knappogue Castle 12-year single malt.
The flights are on sale at OddFellows Williamsburg until the end of April, so you can get your sweet and boozy fix well after your Saint Patrick’s Day hangover clears.
