Basketballers around the world, it’s time to start drooling. Nike have just released the awesome KD8 Elite silhouette that we suspect will eventually end up in the hands of dedicated sneakerheads and eBay due to its futuristic aesthetics.
Nike says that their latest version of their Kevin Durant shoe is “a technically advanced, provocative new version of his eighth signature shoe.” They’re not kidding. The new court performance shoe was created in collaboration with designer Leo Chang and features a crew length compression sock for optimum support when changing momentum.
There’s also fully visible Nike Zoom Air cushioning for an ultra-responsive feel, paired alongside Nike’s Flywire technology and kevlar aramid fibre for superior lockdown. In other words, it’s a bloody robust and flexible shoe.
The Nike KD8 Elite will come in white, grey and black colourways with the white version dropping on April 14 at Nike, the grey version on May 5 and the black on May 26. Australian customers can expect the shoes at a slightly later date (or just buy them online).
Time to sell off those prized basketball cards, children.
