Kiev has once again come up with the goods with a dazzling private residence made for the gentleman with a discerning taste alongside a penchant for escaping the big city bustle.
Designed by SVOYA Studio, the three room Kiev apartment utilises the kitchen, dining and lounge room spaces as one. A liberal use of raw concrete and oversized bricks also help to add some distinct textures to the space whilst the centrepiece of the home is the chunky knitted hammock which invites a decent slumber.
There’s an overall rustic feel to the True Apartment and this has a lot to do with the designers’ goals of creating an “honest” atmosphere by using natural materials such as wooden tiles from the Carpathian Mountains and ceramic tiles and decor from the local potters.
Other fine furniture pieces come from SVOYA’s own design studio including the lamps and pedestals. Painting by and Anton Sokolov round out the space with some killer wall art.
