Why pay to drink when you could get paid to do it? World of Beer, a Florida-based chain of craft beer taverns, is on the prowl for three interns to spend four months travelling the world, sampling brews, and documenting the experience online. Yes, it’s just an internship, but the gig still pays US$12,000 and covers all of your travel expenses. And did we mention the free beer?
“We’re recruiting three Drink it Interns to hit the road this summer and search out the best craft beer and food the world has to offer,” the job description states. “We’ll send you down the street and around the world to capture the best beer stories and document them by blogging, capturing video, taking photos, Facebooking, Tweeting, sharing Vines, Periscoping, and anything else you think would be awesome to help tell the tale.”
Applicants must fill out a basic application and create a one-minute video convincing enough to score one of the three coveted spots. Anyone is invited to apply, provided they are over the age of 21, have a passport, understand social media, and have a schedule that can accommodate the travel. Applicants don’t need to be US citizens, though they do need to be authorised to work in the country.
