Fans of the thinnest and lightest Macbook series today have something to get excited about. Apple has unveiled a brand new 12-inch retina notebook boasting higher performance across the board within the same sleek package.
The refreshed Macbook now sports 10 – 20% more processing power than the previous generation’s model whilst the graphics performance is also enhanced by 25%. A lot of these advancements can be attributed to Intel’s sixth generation Core M processor which is efficient enough to muster out an extra hour’s battery life – that’s a total of 10 hours of web browsing and 11 hours of video.
For those more in tune with Apple’s aesthetics, you’ll be glad to hear of the addition of a new Rose Gold colour alongside the existing silver, space grey and gold hues. The new 12-inch Macbook will weigh a minuscule 920 grams whilst measuring in at just 13.1mm thick
The new Macbooks will be available online and in stores from today with pricing for the 1.1 GHz dual-core with 256GB sitting at $1,999 whilst the 1.2GHz model with 512GB of storage gets a hefty $2,449 price tag. The 1.3Ghz model adds $240 on top.
