As far as customised Bentleys go, this latest collaboration between the luxury British car maker and Beetles album cover designer Sir Peter Blake could well be the wildest one yet.
Decked out in a concoction of bold and vibrant colours across individual panels, the car is in no way subtle and harks back to the ‘peace and love’ era of the 70s. St Luke’s Blue, Fuchsia Pink, Continental Yellow, British Racing Green and a giant red love heart on the bonnet may not be for everyone, but someone is sure to dig the groovy audacity and coloured seats of this particular project. It’s no joke: Friends can now choose their favourite seat coloured in either Cumbrian Green, Imperial Blue, Newmarket Tan and Hotspur.
The one off Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible has been created especially for the Care2Save Charitable Trust to be auctioned off by Bonhams at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in June. The charity itself provides palliative and hospital care around the world and is emphasised by Blake’s St James heart emblazoned on the bonnet.
For authenticity, Blake’s signature is also marked on the side step plates, seat head rests and number plate.
