Swedish hight street hero H&M continues on its quest for world domination with the announcement of two new Sydney store openings this August. Westfield Bondi Junction and Broadway Shopping Centre will house the two new retail ventures, offering more of the affordable and stylish eveningwear and casual street style you’ve grown to know and love from the brand.
H&M has already amassed a huge following in Sydney, with stores in Pitt St Mall, Chatswood, North Ryde and Macquarie Centre, and the brand clearly show’s no sign of slowing down. In fact, Australia’s 5 other H&M stores are located in other states, emphasising an obvious focus on NSW.
“For 2016 we plan a net addition of around 425 new stores, most of them in existing markets,” CEO Karl-Johan Persson said. “For 2016 we see many opportunities, but are also well aware of the challenges that exist. We firmly believe that our customer offering and our investments will lead to increased market share, and will strengthen our position even further during the year.”
H&M’s three-storey, 5,000sqm Pitt St Mall store is one of the fashion brand’s biggest in the world. The new Bondi and Broadway stores will join H&M’s global repertoire of 3,610 stores across 6 continents.
