Say hello to the ‘Silver Arrow of the Seas’, Mercedes-Benz‘s bold answer to a luxury ride on waves. Officially debuted as a concept back in 2012 at the Monaco Yacht Show, the new Mercedes-Benz Granturismo Arrow Yacht takes luxury cruising to dizzying new heights with a sleek 14-metre body that can carry up to 10 passengers. The yacht is powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines churning out a wild 960hp to get the craft over 40 knots.
Mercedes didn’t just slap their name on the side of any old yacht though. The aptly named Granturismo Arrow Yacht borrows the iconic design language of the silver arrows and successfully translates it onto a watercraft, resulting in a boat which has both classic automotive proportions and a hull cabin vessel layout.
Inside you’ll find lined eucalyptus wood walls, a dressing room, a designer bathroom, a premium audio system, air-conditioning and of course, an ice making machine for your drinks. Speaking of drinks, there’s even a makeshift wine cellar.
Want one? Only ten will be built with an allocation of one per country at a price of $1.7 million a piece. You can register your interest via Mercedes-Benz now.
