It’s taken 10,000 nautical miles, but Sydney’s latest luxury party venue has just arrived. The much-anticipated Seadeck has dropped anchor at The Superyacht Marina in Sydney Harbour and is the city’s own little slice of St Tropez.
The 42-metre, hand-crafted European vessel’s unique and elegant custom design is reminiscent of the 1920’s and 40’s when luxury cruising was its peak and boat design was considered an art form. In fact, Seadeck features 3 huge decks with 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour, luxurious lounge seating and bespoke furniture sourced from high-end suppliers from all over the world.
The journey to get Seadeck home to Sydney reads more like a Hollywood movie plot than a venue opening, according to Managing Partner Scott Robertson. “We have travelled the world, seen the pyramids, hired translators, negotiated with foreign military and lawyers, endured threats of kidnapping, shipyards, cyclones, high seas, numerous sleepless nights and more adventures than I can even remember.”
A journey well worth it, with some stunning results. “With my love of European Summer, Classic Mediterranean Beach Clubs and Italian Coastal Palazzos this is a dream project,” says Design Director Alex Zabotto-Bentley. “My team at AZBcreative are creating a design from furniture, daybeds, custom bars, décor and a veritable greenhouse of plants including incredible 4-metre palms.”
And that’s without even mentioning the food and drink offering, which according to Executive Chef Drew Bolton, is a “truly sensational addition to the Sydney hospitality scene.” Fresh and vibrant, the food will focus on locally sourced seafood and sustainable produce.
If there’s anywhere you should be making the most of the sun this long weekend, it’s Sydney’s Seadeck.
