Trust Gucci to go completely against the status quo and drop a Cruise Collection of a whopping 87 looks.
“This collection is dedicated to those men who are in love with their wardrobe. Men who like beautiful things and who like to wear different things or wear formalwear differently,” says Alessandro Michele. ‘Differently’ couldn’t be more spot-on, with the collection featuring an arsenal of fashion pieces that are so wrong, they’re right.
Everything from puppy applique bombers, to coloured acid wash jeans, animal print and plaid, football socks, and satin is included in the collection, in a variety of shapes and styles like thick overcoats, 70’s-style tuxedo separates, cropped trousers, button-up bowling shirts, hats, scarves and lace-up boots and dress shoes.
In reality, the collection draws heavy inspiration from London (think Savile Row and Carnaby Street), evident in Gucci’s punk injections alongside more preppy pieces.
If you’re in the mood to seriously break the mould, take note.
