Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most versatile commodities of the sport who can sell his skills on the field as well as off it. It’s little wonder that Nike have again recruited the 31-year-old to front their latest campaign entitled ‘Speed Room’ which features the latest Mercurial Superfly V football cleat.
The short video has Ronaldo lingering in a walk-in closet full of CR7 cleats before a door opens to reveal a Pagani Zonda which miraculously sprouts a pair of the Mercurials from the engine bay (random, we know). Cue the classical orchestra and there you have it. Instant boot hype.
The new Mercurial Superfly V is inspired by Formula One and looks at all the finer details to make a faster shoe. Expect features like a dynamic knit cuff and a new plate that follows the the natural contours of the foot.
Once you’re done with the fancy trailer, find out more on the shoe’s extensive development below.
