Some say gadgets are a distraction from the real world. We say you need new friends. This week we’re bringing some of the coolest gadgets, toys and recreational crafts to hit town. From double barrel paintball guns to a powered glider, it’s time to break some bank accounts.
#1 Goblin Deuce Double-Barrel Paintball Pistol
Even the battlefield with the Goblin Deuce Double Barrel Paintball Pistol. The cool weapon is the world’s first double barrel paintball gun and is powered with compressed air. The gun comes with twin air cartridges to fire the shot, a four barrel sizer kit, a tactical holster and an air adapter. We have no idea what they all do except that the gun looks amazing. Hang it on a wall or even make it a coffee table piece. It’ll make for good protection against intruders or annoying children.
#2 Flyboard Air
We recently reported the inception of Zapata’s Flyboard Air and now the dream is almost a reality. The Flyboard Air has officially been launched with Government approval pending its mass production. It’s not due for sale in 2016 but with some modifications and a Guinness World Record under its belt, this can certainly change very quickly. The jet propelled craft carries one person and can fly for 10 minutes, whilst reaching over 145km/h. It can also reach 3,000 metres in altitude but that’s probably not the smartest thing to do. Soon, my pretty. Soon.
Fisherman of the world, your chariot awaits. GoBoat is an intuitive new portable watercraft made from a simple inflatable which can take on the shallow waters. When it’s done its job, deflate and pack it away in your car. The whole thing weighs just 7kg and requires no tools to assemble. The only downside is that you’ll have to supply your own trolling motor.
#4 Kilkea Superyacht
Yachts are like exotic supercars. They look good doing what they’re meant to, but put them on an unpaved surface and you may as well walk home. The Kilkea Superyacht is not one not one of these. Taking from the blueprint of a supply vessel, the 82m craft can venture just about anywhere with its steel hull that’s been certified for cruising through light ice. Luxury is taken care of with resort-style accommodation for 36 guests, numerous swimming pools and a submarine dock. For those who enjoy a bit of recreation, there’s an underwater observation room, a top deck soccer pitch and a helipad with a hangar. It’s also self sustainable for a month without needing to reach land – perfect for the world’s super villains.

#5 Chesterfield Denim Sofa
We love a good Chesterfield here at D’Marge and if you’re a fashion tragic then this is the only lounge you’ll ever need. Shod in real denim, the sofa will no doubt gain character as it wears and ages just like a real pair of jeans. The entire frame is wrapped in the mid-wash denim and is lined with hand hammered shoe nails to retain that vintage look. The legs themselves have been updated in ash.
#6 Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS
If you’re a big kid at heart then this is the only Lego set you’ll ever need. Coming in at a massive 1:8 scale with 2,704 pieces, this Technic Porsche is not for the faint of hearted. Build it though and you’ll be rewarded with a very realistic replica complete with a boxer engine with moving pistons, a double clutch transmission with functioning paddle shifters, a working glove box which opens to reveal a laser printed serial number and a full colour collector’s book inside a premium black box. Watch the run through below.
