The finest man caves are plentiful in this world but not many of them hark back to the aesthetics of old-world charm.
Luckily for one loft in Tribeca, the concept of modern lines and minimalist design has been canned in favour of vintage textures. True to New York’s urban landscape, Scarpidis Design have done this particular space justice with stone, industrial steel tubing and plush leather furniture.
Even the colour brings it back to an industrial period by using copper-coloured beams, heavy timber as a bookshelf and tech drawing prints as wallpaper. It’s an eclectic clash yet so period correct you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into 1960s Americana mixed with a bit of medieval (King Arthur chandelier anyone?).
Moving into the bedroom sees a more modern appointment of furniture without straying too far from the classic theme. The dark chocolate brown merged with taupe walls helps pull together the distinguished gentleman look for an era where standing out is often hyped.
