A Japanese menswear brand that has been turning heads lately is none other than Sasquatchfabrix.
STORY: Sasquatchfabrix was founded under Tokyo design collective Wonder Worker Guerilla Band and is headed by design duo Hiromichi Ochiai and Daisuke Yokoyama who together, aim to bridge the gap between avant-garde and wearable street garments, while integrating unique textiles and traditional Japanese production methods.
LOOK: With the concept “High performance vandalism. Always presenting a sense of freshness,” Sasquatchfabrix is all about fashion that reflects our current society. Think progressive apparel with elements borrowed from 90’s skate and graffiti culture.
NEWS: Sasquatchfabrix FW16 offering, titled “Oriental is a Counterculture”, draws inspiration from Japanese traditionalism with heritage design elements in a range of oversized and dramatic separates. Drapey trench coats and pants are paired with bomber jackets, knitwear and hoodies in a mixed colour palette that features everything from red and black plaid to tan and navy. A little sporty, a little avant-garde, Sasquatchfabrix FW16 is for the experimental man of style.
PRICE RANGE: $160 for a bucket hat and $2,500 for a suede biker jacket.
