Ducati is celebrating in style with the 90th anniversary edition of their flagship Italian superbike, the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario.
The latest two-wheeled rocket will come in a limited production run of just 500 units and feature exclusive performance and aesthetic upgrades inspired by its MotoGP counterpart. Retired Australian rider Casey Stoner officially unveiled the bike this week at the World Ducati Week in Misano.
On the performance front the bike receives a host of handling goodies in the form of a machined aluminum triple clamp and steering-head inserts, Bosch Cornering ABS, Öhlins Smart EC, Ducati Electronic Suspension, and the latest EVO version of Ducati Traction Control.
Performance will receive a slight adjustment with the 1285cc, 205hp twin-cylinder engine breathing easier with a Akrapovič titanium exhaust.
The bike’s anniversary design will feature red, white and black livery paired with gold wheels to mimic the factory racing team. Carbon fibre is also used across the cowling to reduce weight to optimise rider control on the track.
The Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario will arrive later this month in dealerships across the world.
