Revered British film maker Guy Ritchie has debuted the first trailer for his own take on a medieval character in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
The fantasy-adventure flick which debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con looks like one hell of a ride too, featuring an all-star cast headed by Charlie Hunman (Sons of Anarchy), Jude Law, Eric Bana and Djimon Hounsou.
The film should benefit from Ritchie’s snappy style of film making which made him a household name via Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
The story will follow Arthur who’s father was murdered by Jude Law’s Vortigern. As Arthur’s uncle takes the thrown to deny Arthur of his birthright, he is left wandering a lost man through the landscape. As legend has it though, when Arthur is given a chance to remove Excalibur from stone, a legacy will catch up with him whether he wants it or not.
The film is slated for release on March 24, 2017.
