We love a bit of architecture here at D’Marge, and over the years we’ve covered some pretty spectacular properties, but when it comes to the World Architecture Festival, well that’s a whole new kettle of fish.
This week, the 2016 World Architecture Festival announced its shortlist of winners from more than 340 architectural projects around the world.
Within the ‘house’ category, the shortlist features everything from a luxury home in the middle of the Brazilian rainforest, to a museum hanging off a mountain in Italy and even a couple of hidden Aussie gems.
Check out the 17 best homes around the world by clicking through the slideshow above. The winner of each category will be announced in Berlin this November by a panel comprised of several high profile architects and designers.
