Every year airlines from around the globe compete on everything from customer service to comfort and food as part of the World Airline Awards presented by Skytrax, and this year was no different. In fact, there were many familiar names in the worlds top 10 airlines, with Emirates coming out on top for the fourth time in history.
“We are honoured to be recognised by the prestigious Skytrax awards. Emirates has always put our customers at the heart of what we do, and we work hard to deliver the very best experience possible to our customers at every touchpoint, every day, all around the world…” Emirates Airline President, Sir Tim Clark said.
Qatar Airways came in at 2nd best, winning awards for World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class lounge, and Best Airline Staff in the Middle East.
When it comes to cutting costs, however, Norwegian was voted the Best Low Cost Airline in Europe for the 4th year in a row. “…We believe that not only should air travel be affordable to all, but also that low-cost can still mean high-quality,” said Norwegian’s CEO Bjørn Kjos.
