The dream of playing for one of the world’s premiere football clubs may be out of reach for most but Adidas still wants fans to know that they can still be a part of the team.
Their latest Creator Studio app will allow users to design third kits to be worn by the players at some of the world’s biggest football clubs including Real Madrid, FC Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Juventus, AC Milan and Flamengo.
Following in the interactive footsteps of Pokemon GO, Adidas will use the platform to further drive the brand whilst allowing fans to share their designs amongst millions across the globe. Once a user’s designs are submitted the kits will enter ‘Battle Mode’ where they are voted on by fans before reaching the top 100 gallery for every club.
The competition doesn’t end there though with the final stage of crowning the winning shirt decided by a judging panel of some of the clubs’ most iconic players. The winning kits will then go into production as the official third jersey to be worn during the 2017/18 season.
Real Madrid’s forward Gareth Bale said that Creator Studio, “is an amazing opportunity for fans from all over the world to make their mark on their favourite club, and to be a part of the club’s history.”
“Madrid fans are some of the most passionate in the world and I’m particularly excited to see what the club’s winning kit design looks like.”
Markus Baumann who is the General Manager Football at adidas added, “we are giving people a blank canvas and allowing them to create something exciting and unique.”
Creator Studio will see the first time adidas has left their club designs in the hands of their fans and aspiring designers.
The application is now open and will work both on mobile devices and desktop. Jump on adidas now to start designing.
