The American-Panamanian biographical sports film stars the main protagonist, Roberto Duran, played by Edgar Ramirez. It follows the boxing career of the Panamanian fighter who made his professional debut in the ring in 1968 as a 16 year‐old before retiring in 2002 at the age of 50. Veteran Robert Deniro backs up the film’s cast as Duran’s coach and trainer, Ray Arcel.
The story centres around the loss of Sugar Ray Leonard in the 1980s where the WBC belt was handed over to Duran. In a later rematch, Duran would return to his corner uttering the famous words, “no mas” (no more).
