Aston Martin have injected a good dose of steroids to their second generation Vanquish S which now sports sharper lines and greater performance than ever before.
The specifics revised in this new model sees enhancements to the car’s engine, chassis and aerodynamics with the big 6.0-litre V12 now pushing 595hp, 26hp up from the previous model’s 569hp.
This welcome bump is achieved with a larger intake that also helps get the revs up quicker for a linear power delivery all the way to redline.
The power department is backed by a revised version of Aston Martin’s 8-speed Touchtronic III transmission which can now deliver faster gearshifts and greater refinement at low speeds to balance performance and practicality.
Those after a supple ride will also be glad to hear that the suspension has been retuned to deliver a premium damping for when the car needs to behave.
On the aerodynamic front the Vanquish S body receives a host of new bodywork made from carbon to give off a heavily sculpted and aggressive aesthetic.
Speaking of the new car, Dr. Andy Palmer who is Aston Martin President & CEO said: “In its second generation the Vanquish maintained that momentum with huge engineering advances such as its all-carbon fibre bodywork and compelling, contemporary styling.”
“Now, the Vanquish S takes things a step further, confidently asserting itself within the Aston Martin range and distinguishing itself from the new DB11. A spectacular machine in every sense, the Vanquish S is a magnificent addition to our range.”
The Vanquish S will be available in both Coupe and Volante and begin international delivery from December 2016.
