As winter sets in up north, and summer kicks into gear down south, we’re all suffering from a serious case of escape-itis. The cure? A journey round the world courtesy of this week’s most inspiring travel Instagrams.
We begin our latest digital jet-setting with Louis Cole, who recently has been shacked up in the enchanting Azulik Hotel on Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Life looks pretty swell when you’re perched on a private seaside villa.
A hop across the Atlantic Ocean brings us to Africa. In Uganda, Travis Burke explored Murchison Falls National Park on a safari before volunteering at a Sudanese refugee settlement. In northern Rwanda, Ronan Donovan took to the sky to capture the vast majesty of Mount Sabyinyo and the surrounding farmlands. The slopes of the extinct volcano are a habitat for the critically endangered mountain gorillas of the Virunga Mountains.
No grand global jaunt would be complete without a bit of city-hopping in Europe. We drop by London with Adam Gallagher and Venice with Marina Comes. We check out an Edinburgh sunset and some of the unusual architecture in Sopot, Poland. And when all is said and done, we head over to Oregon for some much needed R&R in the hot springs of Umpqua National Forest.
