Add a dash of colour and reduce the size. That’s the secret formula TAG Heuer have employed in their popular Carrera Heuer-01 timepiece which first debuted in back in 2015.
The watches will now come in an easier-to-wear 43mm case whilst colours will extend to intense black, navy blue and cognac brown across six new references in steel and matching ceramic bezel. The same mechanics will be utilised in the Swiss brand’s proprietary Skeleton Manufacture Chronograph which affords a central seconds counter, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter and a date window between the 3 o’clock and 4 o’clock markers.
The power reserve of the timepiece is a very respectable 50 hours meaning you can leave it untouched for two days without needing to readjust the time. On the aesthetic front the watch face features flashes of red on the hands and indexes as a nod to motor racing. The backside receives the mandatory sapphire case-back so that the skeleton chronograph can be admired in all its glory.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 timepieces will officially debut at this year’s Baselworld convention with an attractive pricetag of less than 5000 CHF.
