Sydney has more than enough gyms to train you extensively in just about every discipline of Martial Arts. There are more boxing gyms than you could poke a mitted finger at, more BJJ gyms than you can count and more kickboxing gyms than you ever imagined.
But what about MMA? Finding the perfect MMA gym in Sydney requires getting the most experienced coaches in all of these disciplines, and should you want to properly up your fight game, you can’t go further than these five.
It goes without saying that one of Sydney’s best MMA gyms is of course going to be the one owned by the actual UFC. Nevertheless, Sydney’s UFC gym in Alexandria is massive and packed with more features and classes than just about any gym in the city. While it has a huge weight room and a bunch of classes ranging from Yoga to Boxercise, it also has a host of dedicated Martial Arts programs that cater for all the most commonly found disciplines in MMA.

It’s fair to say you’ll be in safe hands at this Paramatta establishment.
The Fight Lab
Sitting on the industrial bedlam of the Princes Highway in Tempe is The Fight Lab, a specialised fight gym that’s been running since 1994. What makes The Fight Lab unique is not just its smaller, tight-knit vibe, but its specialisation in teaching Pankration. If you haven’t heard of Pankration, do some reading on it. A brutal form of Martial Arts once practiced in the Ancient Greek Olympics, it’s elements of wrestling, kickboxing and jiu-jitsu make it one of the true fathers of modern day MMA.
