Floyd Mayweather Takes Break From Posting Strippers, Shows Off $18 Million Watch Instead

Trawl through Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather‘s social media feed and you’ll often be greeted with snapshots of an average multi-millionaire’s life. Fast cars, fast jets and gratuitous displays of consumerism.

When Mayweather isn’t relentlessly pushing his own stripper empire on Instagram though, he can be found showing off his latest bling. And that latest bling takes the concept of male jewellery to a whole new level with an US$18 million price tag.

Made by the New York-based Jacob & Co., “The Billionaire” watch features 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds flanked on the strap and face. At the time of its unveiling in 2015, online watch publication A Blog to Watch described it as a piece in which “Comfort is really beside the point”.

“No king ever praised the comfort of wearing a heavy piece of gilded metal on their head,” it continues.

“If you are the privileged person who wears the Jacob & Co. Billionaire, then I believe you have an obligation to do so in order to warn the people around you about who you are, and that obligation extends to its large-size and girth.”

Naturally the watch isn’t subtle in any way. It measures in at a massive 58 x 47.5mm and is powered by an exclusive Jacob & Co. skeleton manual winding caliber Tourbillon movement. Mayweather also took the indulgent opportunity to praise his latest jeweller who he now claims as “the best jeweler in the world” thanks to an unbeatable deal.
