Porsche 918 Spyder For Sale In Australia… For A Big Price

Well here’s something you don’t see in Australia everyday. With just 918 examples existing in the world, some well-heeled local has managed to get their hands on a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder – a bonafide German hypercar – and now they’re selling it with a hefty 60km racked up on the clock.

Naturally, the car is left-hand-drive but that shouldn’t be an issue given that the Australian government is looking to green light left-hand-drive exotic cars by 2019.

The only other obstacle you’ll need to overcome? Scraping together a cool AU$2,999,990 for this bad boy. Listed by Dutton Garage in Melbourne who also happen to be selling the Sultan of Brunei’s ‘Bad Boys’ Porsche 911, the 918 Spyder is unmolested.

It features a naturally-aspirated mid-mounted 4.6-litre V8 engine paired to electric motors at the front and rear for a combined power output of 652kW and 1,280Nm of torque.

That’s enough juice to get the two-seater all-wheel-drive coupe from 0 – 100km/h in a claimed 2.8 seconds.

You can see the full sale listing now on Carsales. Think of it as an investment considering it sold for US$845,000 when it was released brand new.
