We’d all like to appear more attractive than we really are – especially now that Instagram is the new Tinder.
However, judging by many of the woeful profiles out there, it seems many men don’t understand this Brave New World.
The two main problems? One: a prudish lack of mirror selfies. And two: a complete overload.
But there is a solution and it comes in the form of Jared Leto: an actor, singer, songwriter and – more importantly – the man who bought bumbags back from the sartorial grave American tourists put them in.
Leto has an Instagram presence of 10.2 million followers. But it’s not just his fans whose hearts he melts: he has dated Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and, as the tabloids would say, “many more.”

While owning a face (and abdominals) that would put Legolas to shame helps too, another key to Jared Leto’s aesthetic success is his ability to lay the perfect thirst trap.
For the uninitiated, a thirst trap is a picture you post when you are feeling attractive (i.e. ‘felt cute, might delete later’), in order to gauge which of your followers would like to bed you.

As with most things, balance is key. Come on too strong and it will look like you just broke up. Come on too weak and it will appear you are about to head off on a silent retreat.
