The Playbook For The Modern Man

This $269 Men’s Automatic Watch Will Get You Noticed For The Right Reasons

Incredible looks & value for money.

Every man needs a dress watch. Sparky, classy and useful, it’s more than a piece of wrist candy. Worn right, in fact, your dress watch could bolster everything from your career to your dating life. And that’s not to mention the kick of self-confidence you get when you see it in the mirror. That may all be a given. But – unfortunately – the choice over which dress watch to buy is not so simple. Enter: Timex, a humble American watch company known its daily wearability and affordability.

Timely enough, their Waterbury Traditional Automatic 42mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch is currently on offer for $269, enabling you to achieve cool dress watch style for an even cooler price. This watch is the new version of an old favourite: ticking inside is a 21 jewel automatic movement for a more accurate, longer-lasting timepiece, while the stainless steel case is complemented by its black dial and stainless steel bracelet. Further features of this silver fox include an automatic movement, date window, adjustable stainless steel bracelet and water resistance to 50 metres.

Whilst these distinctive features might seem like they’re common these days, the Waterbury only costs $269, which is what seperates it from its peers. You’d be hard pressed to find a similar watch for the same money that features an automatic movemenent and a stainless steel case and strap, as they’re more commonly found on more expensive, luxurious watches.

Nice article. Timex, however, is no longer “a humble American watch company”. Timex Group B.V. is a Dutch holding company.

Got two timex watches last year. For myself and my daughter. Outwardly look nice but terribly cheap feel in hand. Made in Vietnam. After a year my doughters watch glass is broken and indiglow not functional at the bottom. My own unit is ok, but I wear it once or twice a week at night when I need to check time before early wake up.

Too big at 42mm. Make it 38 with no date window and I’m in.
