James Booth

DMARGE’s Deputy Editor and experienced travel journalist, James Booth has lived in Spain, France and Australia. James spends his spare time reviewing hotels (and chasing waterfalls), trialling the best business class flights, airlines, Qantas, Virgin Australia and occasionally surfing the world’s best surf breaks.

James is DMARGE’s resident travel, cryptocurrency and health expert, speaking with Australia’s top trainers, nutritionists, investment managers and health professionals to create helpful and informative stories. James is the first to try mental health and nutrition trends, biohacking and grooming experiments that most people wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole.

James studied International and Global Studies at the University of Sydney, completing a double major in International Relations and French in 2015. After two years teaching English as a second language in Spain, and freelance writing for The Economist, BeachGrit, Stoke Travel and Global Hobo, he returned to Australia in 2018 and began writing full time for DMARGE.
