Parker Finn, director and writer of Laura hasn’t Slept, The Hidebehind, and Smile (2022) came into the industry 8 years ago. He has successfully written and directed three films. His fourth will be Smile 2 which is premised on Laura hasn’t slept.

Finn is set to gain global grounds with his smile series, aiming for The Academy, Emmy & Golden Globe awards. In an interview with ComicBook, the director revealed that the sequel was unplanned but he was not against the idea. He explains, “For me, as a filmmaker, I never want to retread and just do something I’ve already done again the exact same way. In a universe where there could be any potential — more story to tell from Smile, I’d wanna make sure it was surprising and different and not what people were expecting after the first one.”
