IWC Schaffhausen
At the age of 27, Florentine Ariosto Jones – an American engineer and watchmaker, and the deputy director and manager of the E. Howard Watch and Clock Co. in Boston – journeyed across the Atlantic to Switzerland. He was a man with a plan: to combine the legendary watchmaking craftsmanship of the Swiss with modern engineering technology from America. IWC (International Watch Company) was then born. Today, IWC make some of the most highly regarded luxury watches in the world.
