The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Will Cost You AU$685,000…But It Comes With A Minibar

Today sees the official arrival of one of the most anticipated Rolls-Royce cars ever on Australian shores. The Cullinan is the luxury British marque’s first SUV which brings the pinnacle of artisan car making to the wildly popular segment.

And whilst the Cullinan will cost local buyers AU$685,000 drive-away, the car does come with its own secret booze box slotted between the rear seats. Is it worth over half a million? It is if that’s the kind of lifestyle you’re keen on leading.

Elsewhere the Cullinan is all brute force and bespoke glory. Here’s what the options list looks like:

  • 32 exterior paints (minimum)
  • 18 interior leather colour options
  • 8 veneers
  • 9 carpet colours

The feature that grabbed our attention the most however was the fixed rear centre console. This unit incorporates a drinks cabinet along with Rolls-Royce whisky glasses, a decanter, champagne flutes and a refrigerator. A perfect example of business up front, party out back.

The Cullinan comes with a host of other luxury appointments but what you needs to know is that it’s a capable SUV which can go off-road, but probably won’t for most of its life.

The brand’s ‘Magic Carpet Ride’ ensures a smooth road ride whatever the normal conditions are but should you desire to take it off the beaten track, there’s electronically-controlled air shocks to help maintain maximum traction.

Powering the Cullinan is a big 6.75-litre V12 capable of delivering 420kW of power and 850Nm of torque. Mileage meanwhile is pegged at 15L/100km – not bad considering the car weighs 2,660kg.
