The 2022 Formula One racing calendar is in full swing and has so far churned up plenty of action and surprise. We’ve just passed halfway in the 2022 Grand Prix calendar, with Round 12, the French Grand Prix, due to take place between the 22nd – 24th July 2022.

What time does the French Grand Prix start?
Because of the time difference between France and Australia, Australians will need to tune in late at night if they want to watch the French Grand Prix Live. The timings in AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) are as follows:
Friday 22nd July
- Practice 1 – 22:00 – 23:00 AEST
- Practice 2 – 01:00 – 02:00 AEST
Saturday 23rd July
- Practice 3 – 21:00 – 22:00 AEST
Sunday 24th July
- Qualifying – 00:00 – 01:00 (Sunday morning)
- Race – 23:00 – 01:00 (Sunday night)
When is the French Grand Prix?
The 2022 French Grand Prix will take place from the 22nd – 24th of July 2022.
Where is the French Grand Prix?
France, lol. The French Grand Prix takes place at the Circuit Paul Ricard, which can be found in Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille. The race will be 53 laps of the 5.842km circuit.
The Circuit Paul Ricard was officially opened on 19th April 1970 and has been used on and off to host the French Formula One Grand Prix.
Circuit Paul Ricard has been the current host of the French Grand Prix since 2018. Before this, it hosted it every year between 1985 to 1990, and intermittently between 1971 and 1983.
Where to watch French Grand Prix in Australia?
Australians have a few options with regard to how to watch to French Grand Prix in Australia, with three different channels broadcasting coverage.
The French Grand Prix will be available to watch or stream live on the following channels:

- Foxtel
- Kayo Sports
All three of these channels will require a paid subscription in order to access a live, ad-free stream of the French Grand Prix. There will be a race review, videos and write-ups of the French Grand Prix available for free on Channel 10 on Monday night (Monday 25th July).

Who won the French Grand Prix in 2021?
Max Verstappen won the French Grand Prix in 2021, with Lewis Hamilton in second and Sergio Perez in third. Max Verstappen also set the fastest lap of the race with a 1:36.404 on lap 35.
