September 7 will be a date to remember for hardcore Apple fanatics anticipating the next iPhone 7 along with a host of new features.
The Cupertino tech giant earlier today announced that there will be a special keynote event on the date with the new smartphone expected to make its official debut to the world for the first time. In the lead up to this date, rumours have swelled regarding what the iPhone 7 will bring to the table.
Just days ago Bloomberg, which doesn’t refer to the phone as iPhone 7 but rather ‘iPhone 2017’, reported that the new model will ditch the iconic “Home” button in favour of a single piece of curved OLED screen. In other words, the first iPhone to ever feature a single pane of glass as its front fascia. The grey antenna lines running across the back of the phone are also expected to disappear with the latest iteration of the popular device.
Of course the rumours are only just that for now with Apple remaining tight-lipped about the upcoming launch details. The date has also been earmarked for the unveil of a new Apple Watch 2 and MacBook Pros.
These are the features earmarked for the iPhone 7 thus far. We’ll keep you posted as the date moves closer.
