Brabus Unleash Their Most Powerful G-Wagen Ever

Time to upgrade your SUV.

Brabus

The power-hungry lab rats over at Brabus have done it again.

Say hello to the Brabus 900, the company’s latest heavily modified luxury vehicle which takes the already-quick Mercedes-AMG G 65 and turns it into a carbon fibre beast fit for any zombie apocalypse.

Under the Brabus badge, the big V12 now sees an increase in displacement from 6.0-litres to 6.3-litres, pushing power figures up to 670kW (900hp) and 1,500Nm of torque. That’s enough to get the SUV from 0 -100km/h in 3.9 seconds before maxing out at an electronically limited 270km/h.

To squeeze out these monumental figures Brabus had to replace some of the engine’s internals including a billet steel crankshaft with larger bores, forged pistons, billet steel conrods, larger turbos and a revised exhaust complete with active flaps for controlling the decibels.

Interior-wise you get lashings of quilted leather, state-of-the-art entertainment system and finely upholstered drawers out back.

It’s the bodywork however that really makes the Brabus 900 a head-turner. A custom carbon bonnet with integrated intake scoop paired with fender flares which add 12cm to the car’s width, LED roof lamps, a spoiler and 23-inch forged wheels all add up to make this one of the meanest and most powerful Brabus off-roaders ever produced.

And the price? US$800,000 and limited to just 10 examples. You can put down your deposit and a limb over at Brabus.
