Bright colours often call for a big personality and there’s no one better to pull off that challenge than the world’s favourite angry guy, Samuel L. Jackson.
The veteran 69-year-old actor showed up to the London premiere of the Incredibles 2 over the weekend rocking one of menswear’s most difficult suit colours to pull off – bright red. The hue was paired with a fine check pattern to evoke an authentic 1960s Americana-style suit (think dapper Mad Men days) but with a twist. Jackson paired the suit with a contemporary art print tee which provided great contrast along with an ivory fedora hat.
It’s certainly not abiding by any style rules and that’s exactly why it’s a winner. The look simply suits the occasion whilst acting as an extension of Jackson’s more animated persona. Finer details like red leather perforated slip-ons and peach framed glasses polishes off the red ensemble quite nicely.
