Andrew Tate Net Worth, Girlfriend, Arrest, Kickboxing & Podcast

Andrew Tate is a man who has been trending on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in 2022, but not for good reason. Video clips taken from Andrew Tate’s podcast and other YouTube videos have been shared on TikTok, showing Tate expressing some unbelievably misogynistic views, which have been viewed over 11 billion times and now have domestic violence campaigners extremely worried.

Tate has quickly amassed a large following, formed predominantly of young men, who are listening to every word he says and taking it on board to form their own skewed beliefs. Andrew Tate is a prime example of how effective social media can be at brainwashing a large audience.

So who is Andrew Tate and what has he been saying to cause alarm? Read on to find out.

Who is Andrew Tate?

Andrew Tate is an American-British former kickboxer turned Internet personality, who made headlines in the previous years due to his misogynistic views.

In response to his various controversial comments, anti-violence against women campaigners called for any videos of Tate expressing his views, to be removed from social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, so that they don’t corrupt the minds of young men.

In August of last year, Meta and other social media companies banned Tate’s accounts from their respective platforms in response to complaints and for violation of their policies.

Andrew Tate’s father is Emory Tate II who was an African-American chess International master.

What is Andrew Tate’s kickboxing record?

Before becoming a social media influencer, Tate practised kickboxing from around 2005. He won two ISKA (International Sport Karate Association) world titles in two different weight divisions and at one point was the No. 1 cruiserweight in Europe.

According to the sports website Sportskeeda, Andrew Tate has a professional kickboxing record of 76-9 with 23 of his wins coming by way of knockout. Tate however, has not fought since scoring a 2nd round knockout of Cosmin Lingurar on December 16, 2020, at RXF: One Night 3 event in Romania.

Tate also competed in MMA for the Ultimate Warrior Challenge in the U., going 2-1 in both its amateur and professional leagues. When he fought in the amateur circuit, Tate defeated former UFC middleweight Luke Barnatt.

How did Andrew Tate become famous?

Unfortunately, Andrew Tate became famous for the wrong reasons. He repeatedly expresses misogynistic and homophobic views, such as claiming rape victims should “bear some responsibility” for their attacks and that he wouldn’t give a man CPR if he needed it because it’s “gay.”

He currently lives in Romania, for a specific reason, previously saying in a video that has since been removed from YouTube that it is easier to get off on rape charges in Eastern Europe. In short, nothing good is rarely spoken from Tate’s mouth.

Big Brother

Andrew Tate appeared on Big Brother 17 in the UK in 2016 but was removed by producers after a video surfaced of him beating a woman with a belt. The woman in the video was found and allegedly claimed it was “fair game,” and that she consented to it. But Tate was still removed from the reality show.

TikTok

The main source of Andrew Tate’s rise to fame has been TikTok, where video clips repeatedly appear on users’ main feeds. This has been a result of TikTok’s algorithms, which share videos with more users, based on the engagement they get. If a particular video is liked and shared by some users, TikTok will then distribute this video to other users with similar interests until it eventually snowballs and ends up on the feed of millions of users.

These videos have included clips of Tate holding a machete and saying, if a woman accused him of cheating, he would “bang out the machete, boom in her face and grip her by the neck. Shut up bitch.”

Other video clips show him claiming he would only date 18-19-year-old girls because he finds them more attractive because they’ve “had less d*ck,” and “I can put my imprint on her. Make her a good person without her having to go through all that detriment to learn about life.”

Videos of Andrew Tate have been, and continue to be, removed by TikTok for violating their community guidelines.

Instagram

Andrew Tate’s Instagram account, which had 4.7 million followers, was removed from the platform. It was filled with images of him posing with exotic cars such as Bugattis, holidaying in tropical locations, and showing off his kickboxing skills and gun collection.

A recent Instagram post published within 24 hours of the publishing of this article by Tate says he is going to “donate significant funds to charities which support women against domestic violence.”

“However, I will also donate significant funds to charities that help men with mental health issues.”

“I support men and stick up for them, and the haters and liars think this means I hate women. No. We can both win.”

“People need support. We can support men and women. Top G has kindness for all.”

Twitter

Andrew Tate has had three different Twitter accounts suspended due to his consistent tweeting of hate speech. Select comments include him claiming depression isn’t a real illness and that sexual assault victims should bear some of the responsibility for their attacks.

YouTube

According to a report from the BBC, Andrew Tate had several YouTube channels with more than 1 million followers across all channels. However, when Facebook, Instagram and TikTok banned Andrew Tate from their social media platforms, YouTube followed suit.

A statement from Google, which owns YouTube, said that Tate violated community standards including hate speech.

Andrew Tate Podcast

Andrew Tate has a couple of podcasts available to stream. these include Jet Talk with Andrew Tate, which is described as a “self-improvement” podcast. At the time of writing, Jet Talk can’t be found on either Spotify or Apple Podcast.

Andrew Tate’s other podcast is called Tate Speech. This is currently still available to stream on Apple Podcasts, but not on Spotify.

The description for the Tate Speech podcast reads, “The Tate Speech podcast gives you a perspective on life from the man who is eternally correct. If you’re ready to escape the matrix and connect with a global network of high-caliber men, join The War Room today”

The War Room appears to be a sort of self-development program for men who “understand something is missing.”

Andrew Tate banned from social media

Following a huge public response to Andrew Tate’s content on social media platforms, the most hated man on the internet has now found himself banned from social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, ABC reports. For a while, Tate’s YouTube account was still active, but this too has now been removed.

It’s not just Andrew Tate’s personal social media accounts that have been wiped from existence, either, but all content depicting him sprouting his misogynistic views have been or will be, deleted too.

Shortly after Elon Musk took over as CEO of the social networking company last year, Tate’s Twitter account @Cobratate was reinstated after being banned by the social media company in 2017. As of April 28, 2023, that Twitter handle has over 6.4 million followers.

Andrew Tate’s Hustler’s University

Andrew Tate operated the website Hustler’s University, which isn’t an accredited education institution. The platform asks users to sign-up for a fee of $49.99. Once enrolled, users receive instructions on topics including cryptocurrency trading, stock analysis, financial planning, and drop shipping.

Hustler’s University describes itself as “an online money-focused community providing education and coaching to over 100,000 students worldwide.”

Andrew Tate encouraged members of Hustler’s University to post videos of him speaking his views to TikTok and other social media platforms.

Hustler’s University has been resurrected.

Since being banned from social media (more on that below) Andrew Tate initially appeared to have closed Hustler’s University, claiming it has “no future.” However, if you search for Hustler’s University, you can find ‘Hustler’s University 4.0’ available for subscription at US$49.99/month.

In October 2022, Tate also launched Real World, an “educational” platform similar to Hustler’s University. It also has a subscription fee of $49.99.

What is Andrew Tate’s net worth?

Image: @cobratate

According to online sources, Andrew Tate has a net worth in the range of $250 million – $365 million, depending on who you ask. However, the numbers posted online cannot be verified and could very well be inflated.

Meanwhile, Tate previously said in an interview with Twitch streamer Adin Ross that he is the world’s first trillionaire. But, considering the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos still haven’t reached that milestone, we’re going to take it with a pinch of salt.

One of the main sources of Tate’s wealth has been the aforementioned Hustlers University. New students sign up for a fee of $49.99 and if they recruit new students to sign up, they receive 50% of the $49.99 fee. The Hustler’s University 4.0 claims to have just over 160,000 members at present.

Tate also charges for The War Room online course, which in the UK, costs £4,147. He also owns a 10% ownership stake in Real Xtreme Fighting, the largest MMA promotion in Romania, and dabs as a commentator in some of its events.

During an appearance at the “Your Mom’s House” podcast last year, Tate enumerated his four main income streams:

  1. Hustler’s University
  2. Owning Romanian Casinos
  3. 10% ownership in RXF
  4. The War Room

He said that when the pandemic hit, three of those were inoperable, so he double down on Hustler’s University, which is an online business.

Andrew Tate interview with Piers Morgan

Andrew Tate’s interview with Piers Morgan

British journalist Piers Morgan hosted Andrew Tate as a guest for an exclusive interview on his TalkTV show, Piers Morgan: Uncensored, which aired on Wednesday 5th October 2022. One clip from the interview that quickly began trending following the interview, was when Piers claimed Andrew Tate was misogynistic for saying he finds 18 and 19-year-old women more attractive and more desirable than 25-year-olds.

Tate unequivocally denied this claim, saying instead he was “anti-25-year-old,” and perhaps “ageist.”

Tate said in response to Piers’ claim, “Firstly, even if that were the case, that wouldn’t be misogyny. That’s not misogyny because that’s not anti-women. I’m not saying that an 18 or 19-year-old woman would be more desirable. Anti-25-year-old women, we can argue, but not misogyny,”

Andrew Tate vs. Jake Paul

In November 2022, Andrew Tate and YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul teased a possible fight when they squared off in a video that was posted by Jake Paul on his Twitter account:

But nothing came out of the ‘negotiations’ and in December 2022, Tate admitted that a fight with Jake Paul was unlikely. Following Jake Paul’s loss to Tommy Fury last February 26th, Tate comforted Paul with a motivational tweet

Andrew Tate defends Ryan Garcia

Andrew Tate’s motivational persona reappeared again in April 2023 when he defended superstar boxer Ryan Garcia from his critics. Garcia suffered the first loss of his career to Gervonata Davis last April 22, 2023, in Las Vegas.

In that bout, KingRy dropped to one knee after a huge liver shot from Davis in the 7th round. The referee counted him out and boxing fans have since bombarded Garcia with criticisms on social media. Tate then posted a tweet to ‘threaten’ whoever mocked KingRy.

Andrew Tate arrested in Romania

Although he remains active on social media, Andrew Tate has been on house arrest since the start of April 2023. Andrew and his brother Tristan were first arrested in December of last year as they face an investigation on human trafficking and rape charges.

Image: BBC News

The Tate brothers have denied the allegations but Romanian authorities placed them under “preventive custody” for 30 days. According to The Guardian, a Romanian judge has extended the brothers’ 30-day detention five times, although beginning April 2023, they have been placed under house arrest. The latest extension was issued in late April, which means the brothers are not allowed to leave their homes before May 29th.

On April 27, 2023, Andrew Tate posted a series of tweets that claimed that he was experiencing symptoms of allergies which may have been brought about by poisoning. He has however refused to get outside medical attention.

Is Andrew Tate out of jail?

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been officially charged with multiple crimes, including rape and human trafficking and will face trial in Romania.

After the brothers were arrested on the charges in December 2022, they spent three months in Romanian custody. Bail was consistently denied to the Tate brothers and their jail time was extended for another month. It was four months after the pair’s arrest that they were released from jail and placed under house arrest where they remain pending trial.

Why are people worried about Andrew Tate’s influence?

Andrew Tate has been amassing a large following of primarily younger men. This younger audience believes and agrees with the views Tate expresses, such as the fact men should hold the power and women are only there to serve.

Through his ‘Hustler’s University’ self-help program, Tate not only earns a huge amount of money from his members’ monthly subscription fee, but he also has an army who is spreading his videos online so that they reach a much wider audience.

Hustler’s University tells its “students” that “comments and controversy” generated by the sharing of his videos are the keys to success. TikTok is also receiving criticism as a result of the large-scale spread of Andrew Tate’s videos because terms of the video-sharing app say accounts that impersonate someone else will be banned, yet the exact opposite appears to be happening.

TikTok also removes any content that goes against its community guidelines, such as nudity, yet Andrew Tate’s misogynistic views can be shared without consequence.

New Zealand-based podcast S*** You Should Care About had teachers from an all-boys secondary school write into them, explaining how their students see Andrew Tate as an aspirational figure.

In the letter, the teachers said, “The majority of our students, especially the juniors, are OBSESSED with him and the outlandish views he portrays,”

“What’s more terrifying is they actually see him as a role model. They’re starting to genuinely believe being successful is synonymous with abusing women.”

The teachers had also overheard their students essentially reciting quotes spoken by Tate, and taking them onboard as views of their own. These include, “Women who are sexually assaulted are ‘asking for it’ due to ‘what they wear’”

And, “some women ‘dress like hookers’,” and also, “If a woman has had abortions already she loses the right to use the statement ‘her body her choice.’”

Andrew Tate criticism

It should come as no surprise to learn that many charities and organizations are pushing for videos of Andrew Tate to be removed from social media platforms. Several posts, such as the one below, are now circulating in the hope of educating people about Andrew Tate and the vile things he says.

DMARGE does not condone any of Andrew Tate’s views.
