Paramount Plus is a new streaming platform that launched in Australia in August 2021. It was formerly known as 10 All Access, but since rebranding and relaunching, it has added a wealth of new and extra content for subscribers to enjoy.
As its name suggests, the platform provides access to tons of Paramount Pictures content – such as Top Gun, The Godfather, Transformers, etc. – but you will also have access to content from Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, the Smithsonian Channel and CBS.
Not only this but Paramount Plus has a ton of original and exclusive content under the Paramount+ Originals and Paramount+ Exclusives categories – this includes the television series, Halo (based on the video game of the same name), Star Trek: Picard and Dexter: New Blood.
You’ll also be able to watch every match of the A-League, Socceroos, Matildas and FA Cup live, making Paramount Plus a must-have streaming service for soccer fans.
How much is Paramount Plus in Australia?
Paramount Plus offers just one tier, which you can pay for in either of two ways, making it an incredibly easy service to understand. You can choose to pay $8.99 per month or pay $89.99 annually, saving you just under $20.
By comparison with other streaming services, Paramount+ is one of the cheapest streaming platforms available in Australia. Only Prime Video, at $6.99 per month, is cheaper.
But, when you consider Paramount Plus includes a good selection of live sport as part of its subscription price, it becomes one of the most attractive streaming propositions in Australia. Rival sports streaming services such as Stan Sport – which can’t be paid for separately to a full Stan account – and Kayo Sports – which starts at $25 per month – are clearly a lot more expensive.
However, the selection of sport on offer with both off these services is likely to be more appealing to many, as it includes Formula 1, Champions League football and the English Premier League. But, if you’re a true Australian sports fan, then Paramount Plus could be the best streaming service for you.
